Originally founded in 1962, The Barefoot Mailman Hotel earned its name from the famous Florida mail carrier system started in the 1880s. With no roads, for decades the very first mailmen set out on their 50 mile walk along from here in Hypoluxo, FL all the way down into Miami, and back again.
